In California, the stars seem to be ignoring the water restrictions put in place because of the drought.
At Kim and Kourtney Kardashian's house, the water is flowing. The two reality TV stars and businesswomen have been pinned down for their overconsumption of water, which has now been reduced by a flow limiter device. According to the Los Angeles Times, last May and June, several homes in the San Fernando Valley, in Southern California, received an "overage notice". The Kardashians' humble homes did not escape the mail.
California's drought is forcing residents to restrict their water consumption, which the stars seem to be ignoring. According to the newspaper, Sylvester Stallone, Dwyane Wade, Kevin Hart, Kim and Kourtney Kardashian, are among the 2,000 customers who have exceeded "150 percent of their monthly water cap at least four times since the agency declared a drought emergency late last year."
Fruit trees and pine trees
A home owned by a trust associated with Kim Kardashian, located in Hidden Hills, reportedly exceeded its water allocation by nearly 880,000 liters. Her sister Kourtney, who owns a house in Calabasas, exceeded her flow by 380,000 liters.

On the side of the Stallones, the record is not more glorious: in percentage terms, the couple's home has used "about 533% more than its allocated ceiling." Marty Singer, the attorney for Sylvester Stallone and his wife Jennifer Flavin, sent a statement to the Los Angeles Times: "They have more than 500 mature trees on the property, including countless fruit trees as well as pines," the attorney explained. "Without proper watering, in all likelihood, they would die. This could result in dead or damaged trees falling on my client's property or on neighboring properties…So I hope my client is not unfairly singled out in the story because he is a famous person."
