"Modern Family" actress Sarah Hyland got married and we love her wedding dress, which relies on the probably omnipresent and hottest wedding dress trend in 2022. Which one it is and how beautiful the wedding dress looks, you can read and see here.

2022 means for many couples after a pandemic-related Let's get married! This is also the case for actress Sarah Hyland, who many still know as Haley Dunphy from the cult sitcom "Modern Family" and who just celebrated an Italian-inspired wedding in California. What caught our eye in particular? Sarah Hyland's stunning wedding dress, which is on what is probably the biggest wedding dress trend in 2022 – and looks SO good.

Sarah Hyland: That's how long the "Modern Family" actress had to wait for her dream wedding.

But from the beginning: back in spring 2019, Sarah Hyland's now-husband, then-boyfriend, TV host Wells Adam proposed while on vacation together. In the fall, wedding planning began, which was then put on hold for the time being due to the Corona pandemic. "So we've actually been planning this wedding for three years," the actress revealed to the U.S. edition of Vogue. "It's just been a crazy time."

Sarah Hyland's wedding dress is that breathtakingly beautiful

But the wait was visibly worth it and resulted in a dream wedding in the Californian vineyards, where you as a European:in also directly recognize an Italian flair with a vintage Dolce Vita feeling. Besides the picturesque celebration, our personal highlight was definitely the wedding dress that Sarah Hyland wore to her wedding ceremony (which, by the way, was held by none other than her "Modern Family" co-star Jesse Tyler Ferguson aka Mitchell Pritchett).

On the wedding dress we immediately notice a design clou, which is a huge trend in 2022 (not only) for brides: an XXL leg slit. This is able to give otherwise rather minimalist dresses with clean cuts a subtle wow factor. This was also the case with the frill- and lace-free dress by Sarah Hyland, which, in addition to the slit, convinced with a meter-long train and a discreet corsage (currently also a big bridal fashion trend!). The dress was designed by none other than star wedding dress designer Vera Wang, who also designed the actress' second dress, which Hyland then wore to the reception later on.

This wedding dress also captivated with simple elegance: off-the-shoulder, figure-hugging, made of macramé lace and with slightly transparent sleeves made of Italian tulle. Sarah Hyland revealed to US Vogue that she found her first wedding dress at Vera Wang before the pandemic – and then fell even further in love with the one made of macramé lace when she tried it on again. "It was an impossibility for me to decide between these two dresses," the actress said in the interview. "So I decided to wear one more dress to my wedding." In addition to the two main wedding dresses, Sarah Hyland also had several dresses for the dinner the night before, the after party … True to the motto: the more dresses, the better.
