Katie Holmes brings back this controversial noughties fashion trend that you either love or hate

At the "iHeartRadio Jingle Ball", Katie Holmes brings back one of the most controversial combos of the early 2000s. See her look here.

The 2000s are back! On 9 December, Katie Holmes attended Z100's iHeartRadio Jingle Ball wearing a look so reminiscent of the noughties, it's hard to know where to start. One thing is for sure: Katie Holmes' outfit choice is highly controversial.

Katie Holmes goes for an authentic 2000s look

For the event, the former "Dawson's Creek" star walked the red carpet in a strapless blue mini dress. What makes the outfit a true 2000s look? Katie Holmes combined her skimpy dress with frayed straight leg jeans and black sneakers. The controversial combination was completed with a silver nose ring and loose waves in her hair.

Katie Holmes makes a fashion statement

While Katie Holmes is usually known for her classic style (no one wears a t-shirt and jeans better), the actress has jumped from one era to the next in recent months. We are excited to see what Katie Holmes' fashion future holds.
