But what began the weight loss journey was adding more fiber to your daily diet. the host revealed that she relies on Metamucil, a fiber supplement, and keeps it where she can see it to make sure she always includes it in her diet. from there, the host began consuming fiber-rich breads and cereals. She also eliminated highly processed foods and stress and reiterated that she moves around a lot. and although some people avoided stepping on the scale, Underwood weighed herself constantly to find out if her dietary adjustments were working. she explained that she weighed herself after waking up, on her way home from work, and before going to bed. she added that she tries to drink eight glasses of water every day.

In 2017, Underwood also participated in Prevention's Spreadthealth challenge. she explained that with the
Challenge, her goal is to get out of her comfort zone and try a new challenge focused on health or wellness each week. she added that she didn't know where to start, but she was sure she wanted to do something for the health of her mind, soul, and body. the television host followed what each of her talk co-hosts did for a month. as a result, she learned how to meditate, connect with loved ones, and reduce sugar. He also bought an activity tracker and recorded 2,500 steps and was working toward 10,000 steps.
