Why we’re all crazy about Julia Roberts

Nobody can resist the charm of the actress, the perfect mix of next door and divinity. The latest Cannes red carpet proves it. His secret? Never reveal too much of herself, or of those around her, and continue to behave as if it were always the first time: “Never like now, I’m enjoying life to the fullest.”

Julia Roberts’ smile should be nominated as a World Heritage Site. The 54-year-old actress, three children, an Oscar (for Erin Brockovich) and a film (Pretty Woman) that catapulted her to Hollywood 30 years ago, shines with that special light that belongs to divas. Everyone loves Julia Roberts, no one can resist her charm, the perfect mix of next door and divinity. The secret? Never reveal too much of herself, or of those around her, and continue to behave as if it were always the first time or almost.

Like never before, I am enjoying life to the fullest

“Never before, I am enjoying life to the fullest,” she said recently. And now she is there, radiant, in Cannes. A passage of her on the red carpet – that of Armageddon Time – is enough to obscure all the others. But the real key to her happiness is family. She has been the wife of cameraman Danny Moder for almost 20 years. With him, after a few sentimentally turbulent years (the breakup a few days after her marriage to Kiefer Sutherland, a divorce from country musician Lyle Lovett), the actress found peace. And together they have three children: Hazel, her twin Phinnaeus and little Henry.

“I’m lucky to have Danny,” she revealed. “Every day I see him walk in the front door and it’s like it’s always a dream. I say to myself: “Ah, he’s back” ». The secret of their union? Don’t miss a children’s game on Sunday at the soccer field and kiss. One thing she doesn’t tolerate: latecomers. Otherwise, yoga keeps her focused. And woe to suggesting botox and retouching: «I think I took a big risk for my career when I turned 40 I didn’t undergo a facelift like Hollywood was asking. But I want to be a model of an aging woman ».

Future projects? “I’m not looking for something, but I’m ready to grasp what life has to offer me,” she said. “The best is yet to come, I’m sure.” We too.
