Shania Twain wore the 2022 version of the look from her 1998 video

Shania Twain paid tribute to herself on Tuesday by wearing a new version of the outfit she wore in her 1998 video That Don't Impress Me Much.

A nod to… herself. Shania Twain arrived at the 48th People's Choice Awards in Santa Monica on Tuesday (December 6) in a custom-made Rodarte creation that recalls her look from the video for her 1998 hit That Don't Impress Me Much. The 2022 version of the look includes a sheer black top paired with a leopard print headband and matching hood, as well as a floor-length black velvet skirt. And colourful detail: the star dyed her hair pink.

So the leopard print goes with any hair colour, but the touch of pink is perhaps a nod to the singer's bright pink eyeshadow in the video, as well as her red lips. The iconic costume in the video included a hooded cape, bandeau top and flared trousers, all, of course, in leopard.

On Twitter, reactions to her look were overwhelming.

The superstar was honoured at the Music Icon Award ceremony.
