Selena Gomez is currently proving how cool olive green nails look, and of course she immediately makes the nail polish color the ultimate fall manicure trend.
Not long ago Selena Gomez sported pink summer nails, but now the singer-actress is proving that olive green nail polish is a must-have for fall.
Her trusted nail artist, Tom Bachik, who also does Jennifer Lopez's nails, posted a picture of Selena Gomez's freshly painted manicure to Instagram on Aug. 15. On it, Selena sports long ballerina shaped nails with a fancy olive green nail polish that's somewhere between fresh leafy green and brown.
Selena Gomez's olive green nails are trending this fall
It's exactly the earthy combination of green and brown that makes the fall nail polish color so trendy. The shade can be perfectly combined with all winter tones and looks cool and modern. Still, it's muted enough to feel like a new neutral that just pairs well with the fall's brown, burgundy, navy, beige, brown, white and black color palettes, as well as the annual Animals prints.
The trend follows another celebrity nail moment: Hailey Bieber's baby pink nails, which turned the beauty internet upside down.
But for next season, this color is a little richer and more meaningful. Plus, she's picking up where last fall's biggest nail trend left off: In October 2021, searches for the nail polish color "dark green" surged over 70 percent when nail artists like Harriet Westmoreland used dark shades of green. This time olive is the cooler shade that is less classic and much more playful.
