George Clooney, caring husband fixing Amal's dress

The actor, on the red carpet of The Kennedy Center Honors, paused to unfurl the two long drapes of Amal's gown, a goddess (with a royal look) in her carmine red Valentino.

It is not only one of the most beautiful couples in the star system. Amal Alamuddin and George Clooney's is also a story of amusing complicity, which can be seen (even) in the simplest gestures, such as arranging the dress of one's sweetheart. It happened in the last few hours, on the red carpet of the 45th Kennedy Center Honors ceremony, where the actor, who stopped with his wife in front of the photographers for the ritual shots, took care to unfold the two long drapes folded back on themselves of Amal's dress, highlighting even more her refined elegance and that of the long dress.

Like a goddess, Alamuddin walked the red carpet wrapped in a slinky Valentino Haute Couture from the spring summer 2022 collection, featuring a cape-like detail given by two long drapes that, like a double cape, start from the shoulders.

Declined in a vivid carmine and embellished with a Bardot neckline, the dress, in some respects, evoked the large line-up of royals and their penchant for cape dresses. One of the last to choose it was Kate Middleton herself, an angelic vision in her white Jenny Packham gown studded with crystals on the shoulders.

And what about Mathilde of Belgium, also recently spotted in a similar creation, but in powder pink. Cape passion also for Queen Maxima, captured by photographers a few days ago wearing a coat – again Valentino – combined with her checked sheath dress. A stylistic history that also includes Meghan Markle, undoubtedly one of the biggest cape dress addicts.
