Britney Spears and Elton John: the unexpected duet

According to the well-informed, the Sir of pop music has recently returned to the recording room for a duet with Britney Spears, to the tune of Tiny Dancer.

The announcement comes from Page Six and immediately went around the world. According to the US magazine, in recent days Britney Spears and Elton John met secretly in a Beverly Hills studio. The reason is to be found in the recording of a new version of John's 1971 hit.

If the news were confirmed, it would be their first collaboration. Spears, 40, and John, 75, join forces and throats for a single that could prove to be the beginning of a new phase for their respective careers. Sir Elton, aka Reginald Kenneth Dwight, is no stranger to collaborating with new generation singers.

Her latest album, Glory, dates back to 2016, followed in 2017 and 2018 by the Piece of me tour. After that, the beginning of a long legal battle that she saw her clash with her father Jamie, in the meantime appointed her guardian.

According to the source for Page Six, the input for the duet came from Elton John, of whom Britney has always been a huge fan. On the official profiles of both all is silent and there are still no official confirmations. However, in recent weeks, Britney has posted a short video on Instagram in which she sings a new version of Baby One More Time, the hit that blew her away when she was seventeen.

In the caption, some cryptic phrases, including: "I haven't shared my voice for a long time perhaps too much." A clue? Perhaps. Meanwhile, in the post she gives vent to the bitterness with which she has had to deal in recent years. “For 14 years I've been asking to do a different version of Baby one more time, but the team said no. (…) I share it now because I am sure of my love and my passion for singing ».
