Brad Pitt, Formula 1 star: taking notes for his next film in Austin

Brad Pitt, who will soon be starring in a film about motor racing, was in the pits of the Austin Grand Prix, invited by his friend Lewis Hamilton, meeting the various team managers and doing a few laps of the track in a road-going Ferrari, driven by Charles Leclerc.

Last June, the news came from Hollywood that Brad Pitt will most likely star in an as yet untitled Formula One film directed by Top Gun: Maverick director Joseph Kosinski. So it's no surprise that the American actor decided to visit the Austin, Texas track the day before the US Grand Prix.

Brad Pitt, who is also supposed to be the producer of the film with his company Plan B Entertainment, showed up in a sporty outfit: light blue zip-up sweatshirt, cap and sunglasses. He watched a bit of free practice, then wandered around the paddock to chat with the directors of the various race teams.

The actor, probably scouting for his next film, drove around the circuit in a blazing Ferrari alongside Charles Leclerc, the Monegasque driver for the Italian team.

Brad Pitt also met his friend Lewis Hamilton: the British champion will be a co-producer of the film, which, according to The Hollywood Reporter, will first hit theatres before landing on the Apple TV+ platform. "I checked that there were no dumplings," he told Vanity Fair, referring to the film's script.
