All the houses of Gwyneth Paltrow

The founder of "Goop" has invested millions in villas, penthouses and country houses: from London to New York, here are her latest real estate properties.

Gwyneth Paltrow's name is closely connected to a very unique brand of health and wellness: clean nutrition, natural beauty and exercise regimes aimed at restoring inner balance and calm. It is therefore not surprising that the entrepreneur and actress is also very attentive to the spaces in which she lives. Over the years, she has owned and sold many homes located everywhere, from London to New York and Malibu, and has left her hallmark on each of them. This is evident in her latest purchase, a huge retreat in Montecito.

2004

Shortly after the wedding, which took place in December 2003, Paltrow and then-husband Chris Martin bought a large house in the Belsize Park neighborhood of north London. The couple allegedly bought the apartment from Kate Winslet for $ 4.1 million, also buying the two houses on either side to create a huge 33-room mansion. The couple then teamed up with Martin's brother, an architect, to restore the home's period Art Deco details and made some renovations to suit the family's needs. They had added three more bedrooms, a bathroom, a playroom for the children, and a gym. Ten years later, however, Paltrow and the Coldplay frontman announced their separation and the decision to put the house on the market for $ 11.5 million.

2006

Paltrow and Martin made their first purchase in the United States two years after their marriage, buying a house in the Hamptons for $ 5.4 million. Located in Amagansett, the elegant mansion measures 7,000 square meters and boasts five bedrooms and seven bathrooms, all furnished with Goop-approved furniture and décor. Although the residence's color scheme is mostly pastel, the kitchen offers a slightly stronger touch, with dark wood cabinets that stand out in stark contrast to the white walls interrupted by strategically placed skylights. Four years after her split from Martin, Paltrow married her current husband Brad Falchuk in the backyard of that house. However, this house is still owned by her.

2007

Later, Paltrow and Martin bought a penthouse in Tribeca for just over $ 5 million. To bring her airy and sophisticated vision to life, Paltrow enlisted the help of AD100 Roman and Williams design studio, who also helped create her Goop office. The elegant apartment is characterized by white painted floors, French windows and a unique rocking sofa that is decidedly particular. The covered terrace of 500 square meters is also enviable. A description of the house on Goop's website emphasized "pastel silks, hand-embroidered wallpapers, and cool streaks of marble" that balanced "age-old techniques and antiques with confident, casual modernism." The house went on the market for $ 14.25 million in 2016 and eventually sold for $ 10.7 million in 2017.

2012

The couple then went to the West Coast, paying $ 10.5 million for an equestrian estate in the Mandeville Canyon community in Brentwood, California. The villa, with six bedrooms and eight bathrooms, covers an area of 8,000 square meters: high ceilings, a professional-level gourmet kitchen and wood-paneled walls. The stable also stands out: it was designed by Kathryn Ireland, star of the Bravo Million Dollar Decorators program. And this is still owned by Paltrow anyway.

2014

Two years later, Paltrow doubled her West Coast properties, paying $ 14 million for a Malibu property known as Garwood Residence. The secluded Point Dume property was designed by world-renowned architect John Lautner. The four-bedroom, beamed complex features heated sandstone floors, a yoga studio, landscaped gardens, a stone pool, a tennis court, and a sheltered berth for a yacht. Beautiful, beautiful, so much so that Gwyneth never wanted to sell it.

2016

A few years later, Paltrow made headlines with the purchase of a $ 4.9 million shelter in Montecito, which she razed to build a new facility: "It was like Gray Gardens. There were animals. wild animals and swarms of insects, but I fell in love with the terrain and the landscape," she told AD. Working with her team of designers Roman and Williams and Romanek Design Studios, Paltrow created a bucolic house. The architectural details, such as the High ceilings and hand-painted scenographic wallpaper ensured that each room was well-kept and gave a feeling of tranquility. This house was featured on the AD cover of March 2022 and Paltrow still lives in it.
